On November 29th, 2021, HumanLink partnered with IT Firm Symposit and research company CASRA at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC).

I/ITSEC is the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training event and conference. Held last year November 29-December 3 in Orlando, Florida, I/ITSEC consists of peer-reviewed paper presentations, tutorials, special events, professional workshops, a commercial exhibit hall, a serious games competition, and STEM events for teachers and secondary students.

“Superior technology yields superior detection”

Yet without the optimally trained screener, the person/technology package cannot reach its full potential to identify threats, be as efficient as possible, nor effective in screening tasks resulting in sub-par outcomes from both the expensive technology machine and the critical human element.

Throughout the trade show, Symposit and HumanLink presented an overview of CASRA’s X-Ray Tutor, XRT4. This proven technology is a web-based screening tool that is highly effective at 3D imaging and screening operations in the aviation and transportation industries, already implemented throughout Europe. The two companies demonstrated how to use metrics and human factors to improve training and testing solutions for security officers and X-ray screeners within all screening environments, including TSA, CBP, Federal and state office buildings, Cargo facilities, Sports and concert venues, and various other areas of security operation.

This tool defied all others with its enhanced screening capabilities, allowing not only single-view images but dual-view and 3D computer tomography technology. This was demonstrated to event attendees and passersby that took an interest in our booth. We were able to run the XRT-4 on the latest technology, without any plug-in on various internet browsers and proved that it is highly flexible, configurable, and supports different user interfaces.

After conducting demos of the XRT-4, we hosted a giveaway where our very lucky winner, Alexander Montenegro won a 55’ flat screen TV. Here are some photos of the event:
